Congrats and condolences on 'winning' the eBay auction!  I took a look at
the listing - wow, have you bitten off a big piece of work!

The ad listed the engines as being "Leeman Deisel" instead of the Perkins
that your note said. Assuming it has the Lehman Ford engines that the
pictures seem to show, you are lucky - parts for the Lehman's are far easier
to get than old Perkins parts.

Looking at the description of all the Hurricane Katrina damage to the boat
(new starters, alternators, batteries, charger, bilge pumps), it makes me
suspect the boat was submerged during the storm.

Was that the case?
