We got the Texas chartbook and used it a few years ago. Don't even try to get
ahold of this book as it is so out of date. It shows land masses that are no
longer there, for one thing. It was so frustrating to use that I tossed it
aside. I remember saying, "Never again will we cruise with outdated charts."
Fortunately we also had the strip charts for much of the area and new electronic
charts which I printed out so we were okay.
In our new book on the Great Loop Side Trips (of which our Mobile to Mexico
trip is one) we list all of the strip charts needed and where to get them. We
are currently traveling in our RV so I don't have that information with me or
I'd reprint it here. Sorry. The book is available at nautical book stores and
Amazon.com.
Good luck.
