GL: EBay Purchasing

*I just bid on a 1977 Marine Trader trawler 44' with twin Perkins diesels,
on EBay and won.

Presently coordinating pre-sale Boat Survey.  The boat is in New Orleans,
LA.  I followed the
instructions on EBay for bidding, and then the instructions after winning
the bid: (1) made my
deposit, (2) talked to the seller (who has an excellent reputation on EBay
(they rate everyone),
and made arrangements to view the boat and do a sea trial.

EVERYTHING has gone exceptionally well so far!! Couldn't ask for better!  It
appears that EBay does
everything they can to keep everything honest and legitimate, however, you
always have to look
out for con-men trying to get around EBays safety net.

The nice thing is, I learned that my vehicle transaction is insured for
$50k.  So I'm not too worried.
