Hi Sue,

We're starting our Great Loop journey the first of October and since there
has been so much rearranging of the GIWW from shoals to sunken treasures due
to the last series of hurricanes, we're opting to get the latest charts from
OceanGrafix. They are up dated continuously and you get the latest and
greatest when you order.

Go on line and view the charts:
http://www.oceangrafix.com/o.g/search-nautical-charts.html and make your own
selection based on the level of detail you want. We're doing the GIWW and
stopping at different ports that will require some overlap on the charts.

You might ask them to assemble a list of charts for the GIWW from Galveston
to NOLA. This won't be the first time they've had that request.

Next, get the http://www.waterwayguide.com/index.php 2008 Southern Edition.
I believe both West Marine and BlueWater carry these.

Finally, ask for specific "local knowledge" from the various members of this
list, MTOA list (http://mtoa.net/), and www.greatloop.org list. MTOA has
volunteer member "port captains" in many of the communities that can help
arrange support for you along the way.

I am looking for charts for the GIWW, from Galveston to New Orleans.  I will
buy them, rent them, borrow them.  Can anyone help?
Also, can anyone tell me what stores might sell them?
