GL: Cruising economically

There is a lot more to be saved by owning a trailerable boat than just the
fuel costs.

Marina fees...I was paying over $500 per month for years before.

Boat maintenance..my boat is in the driveway and I have ac, heat and cable
tv when working on it...myself..no marina charges.

Boat launch..cost $0 most ramps are free or a buck or two. I do have to
store the truck and trailer while I am cruising. So far I have been lucky
and avoided any cost, but expect to pay in the future.

Insurance...cheap...sitting in my driveway....will not sink while I am away.

Tow vehicle....bought for boat but I use it as my daily driver and pull a 10
X 6 work trailer in my business as well. Fuel for vehicle...bad
part...diesel $4.09 per gallon.

Good part...fuel for boat...diesel...burns 1/2 gallon per hour at 7 kts.=
approx 4 gallons per day running = $16 per day !

Best part...I see my boat every day, 365 days per year. :>)

This is not for everyone, but understand that if it is for you, the savings
are huge!
