GL: Places to stay along the Hudson

Remember that the Hudson River is only 150 miles long. The main Amtrak
passenger line runs along the river on the east shore with very frequent commuter
service between New York City and Albany. Many marinas are within walking
distance of railroad stations. So for a relatively short boat layover, pick a
convenient marina on the river's east shore and hop a train toward New York or
Albany. The direction, of course, depends on the airport your flight leaves from.
You can choose between airports in Albany, Westchester, and New York. Stewart
is on the other side of the river, convenient to marinas in Kingston, and
serves only a few airlines. Most communities along the river are served by airport
limos which will drop you at the airport of your choice.
