GL: Boat Stability

Georgs, Thanks for the pointer, the pictures are wonderful but the author 
doesn't say anything about the sea conditions - the best indication that 
they are not good is the spray and tip of the boat.

It is often very difficult to judge sea conditions from a photograph, but 
away from the boat they don't look to rough.

The only catamaran that I know of personally that has tried an ocean 
crossing (Atlantic) was written up in a magazine about 5 years ago in an 
article by a freighter captain that rescued them in mid Atlantic.  Reading 
the article from the freighter captains view was particularly interesting 
since I had already heard basically the same story from the catamaran owner 
/ captain's view point several weeks earlier.

The point that both made very clear is how difficult it is to do a rescue at 
sea when the freighter deck is 100' +/- feet above the water and the 
pleasure boat hull is 3' +/- above the water.
