Frank, you will encounter 4-5 foot seas on the loop. A well-found trawler
will handle those conditions with ease and the crew will suffer little
either. We've plowed through 6 foot seas on Lake Superior with little ill
effect. Not my choice, but high seas happen. You are right however, that
a houseboat in that kind of stuff will be in trouble.
