I have a gibson houseboat 37Ft. I don't know what one writer meant buy a "real
boat" but I seen a lot of trawlers sitting in mud waiting for there tow off,
as this not so real boat went by. Also seen all these trawler "capt's' going
in circles because they did not watch the weather. If you go out in 4-5 foot
sea's be it a trawlers, house boats , or row boat your in trouble.
My boat draws 21/2 ft, burns 21/2 gal gas per hr. @ 2500 thats 8
knots and when the weather gets up so can I and be waiting at the bar for all
"the real boaters" To come in. Also NO 37Ft. trawler has the sq. feet of
living space that a Houseboat has. Any trawlers want to follow me up some
rivers.
