GL: Road Maps

In a reply to Fred Barnes re doing the Tenn-Tom in reverse, I neglected to mention something everyone should carry along on such a cruise: a ROAD MAP! Why? Charts show some land marks but the inland waterways show very little. When you go up the Tenn-Tom you're out in th emiddle of nowhere for 4 days. With the stormy weather and tornedoes we've been having, it is imperative to know where you are....COUNTY-WISE! Road maps will tell you as long as you can FIND the Tenn-Tom marked on them! However, if a tornedo comes along, I have yet to figure out what the devil you are supposed to DO about it!
