GL: a fuel perspective

When I was a kid, in the 60's, I pumped Dino Gasoline.
 
$2 got you 5.9 gallons. 24.9 cents a gallon I believe.
 
then in the late 70''s our first fuel crunch, gas went to $1.oo a  gallon
 
Today in the 90's fuel is $5 a gallon. pretty much keeping pace in some  
weird sort of way.. 
 
besides , we can beat the guys in charge.
 
I won't let the bastards stop me from cruising!
