GL: Question

We're planning on being snow-birds this winter - cruising to Florida from North Carolina. Going through GA and SC we expect to make stops more often than usual; anchor out or find a town we haven't been to before. With the high and getting higher fuel costs the thought of burning less fuel for the day makes me feel (incorrectly) that I'm saving money.
