GL: Marina Prices

I agree! We much prefer to anchor out. However, sometimes boat repairs
necessitate a marina stay to make repairs and or receive replacement
warranty parts being shipped to continue to anchor out. :-).

We anchor out most of the time -- because we love the proximity to nature.
Savings on marina costs are a fringe benefit. Our slow travel speed, again
to
enjoy the beauty of the passage, also has the fringe benefit of almost
doubling the miles per gallon that others burn on similar boats at their
'normal' cruising speed. We find the slow, less stressful passage and
swinging on a hook sipping a sundowner in a beautiful cove makes for great
cruising -- and the $ costs are greatly reduced.
