Each of us has a choice to stay or not to stay in a marina. Based on our own personal life styles, income streams, and boating desires. Boating is made up of a lot of different types of owners and boat types. Based on that we each have a choice to dock or anchor out. Neither is wrong or right, just what fits in the personal choice needs. That is they JOY of boating, freedom to make the choices. A shift in more boaters using their anchor to save costs will just be a natural supply side economics equation that will help set dock prices going forward.

I would say that none of us can judge what is the correct cost per foot to charge by a marina, unless we owned the marina and its associated costs. I for one would not have a clue to what is the correct price to charge. I only have the choice to dock or not dock. Running a marina is way beyone my ablity to judge if they are charging too much.
