Bill suspects...

I used to own a business that had a service shop (like an automobile
dealership). We priced labor and parts very competitively, but added
a one-liner, "shop supplies," to every service invoice. It was a
small fee, $5 to $15, but it added up to a little more profit. It
covered the incidentals and wear and tear.

I suspect the charges for electricity, veil the fact that the slip
isn't $1.50/foot, but really $1.75. Most boaters just shrug. We
often don't plug in.

Times are tough, and marina operators want to stay in business. I
hope they do.

Bill
