GL: Fuel Prices vs. Marina Prices

Not sure how it works in other parts of the world but where I keep my boat
the marina is only open 8 months of the year. The water gets too hard for
the other 4 months.

He sells fuel, but since he does not carry it year round he doesn't get the
wholesale price that a gas station would. He buys it at the same price I do
when I fill my car. Now, he has to add his percentage to that price, hence
it appears to the boaters in the area that he is gouging when in effect he
isn't.

I am wondering if some marinas in other parts of N America are being
treated the same way by the oil/gas companies.

His marina is in great shape, his dockage and winter storage fees are very
reasonable and we are very happy there.

Do you realize that in about 40 years we will have thousands of old ladies
running around with tattoos and pierced navels?
