GL: Fuel prices West Palm Beach to Daytona? (also Md)

On our trip in April, we found the best prices at Port Consolidated
(aka Port Petroleum) in Ft. Pierce, and Vero Beach Municipal Marina.
The issue now a days seems to be who has the "oldest" fuel: they will
be the cheapest. So, Vero Beach was significantly cheaper, that week.
Unfortunately we had topped off at Ft Pierce because they
historically had been cheapest and freshest, as they are primarily a
commercial dock (you have to know where they are to find them). We
try to use high volume operations whenever possible; but again, in
this day and age they can have a price disadvantage. Port
Consolidated ended up being the most expensive on the East Coast
until we reached Baltimore last week.
Per Bob McClaren's request, Peggy has it right at least this week for
MD.
Tidewater actually updates their price on their web site. Since we
were coming in to Anchor Bay East to have some work done, and because
they used to be a low price leader, we filled up here and found out
they were about 15 cents more expensive, tax included. They had just
raised their price 20 cents with their last tank; they are a pretty
busy fuel dock.
We are getting in the habit of fueling more frequently as prices
continue to rise. It has proved to be a good investment strategy.
With close to full tanks, if prices start coming down, we can go back
to being picky and waiting for the best spots. This year, he who
hesitates to buy today usually loses.
