Ken,

MDR makes a Inflatable Boat Lettering kit just for your purpose.  It  
has everything you need (including brush that's inside the lid)- 
except masking tape to hold the stencils. The paint is water based  
and can be wiped off (quickly) if you goof. Some tubes may take two  
applications but most do fine with one.

I've used it on several customers inflatable's and just finished  
lettering our  own RIB using the product!

Costs about $13.00 in most marine stores.
