GL: Canajoharie, New York, on the Erie Canal

There is a nice breakfast spot in the middle of town at Canajoharie,  
and the bicycle path is only two blocks from the canal. The hardware  
store on the other side of the canal behind McDonalds is very nice.   
The whirlpool on the stream at the top of town is a quick 15 minute  
walk.

A word of caution, when I was there two weeks ago, I lost my footing  
on the boat and fell down in the salon.  It appears to me that a extra  
strong gravitational pull exists at the dock, since I was sucked to  
earth with so much energy I broke my leg.

The hospital in Amsterdam is very friendly.
