GL: What happed to the Great Loop

Hi Bob,
 If the raw water discharge is the same or nearly so from both engines with
the checks you have already made that should eliminate the raw water side of
it.
Check the thermostat. Try removing it and running the engine with it out if
you can do that. Some engines have a bypass arrangement that needs the
thermostat body in place. Either way, boil a pot on the stove with the
thermostat immersed in it and a thermometer and watch for it to open and
note at what temperature that happens.
If there are any issues with it, bin it and replace it for $25 or $30.

Have you checked the hoses for spongy spots, sometimes they denote an  
area of de-lamination where the inside wall of the hose collapses.   
You might also want to check the exhaust for obstruction as well --  
that should be an easy check with twins.
