GL: The High Price of Fuel These Days

Mike:
While I agree with the lib/con/Dem/Rep. sentiment, I respectfully
disagree about the topic.
On my recent trip across the country, I almost ran out of gas,
twice. The reason? I was traveling the interior (the two-lane
roads) of the West and in a few places, the gasoline stations had no
fuel because they could not afford the payment for fuel lots. How
long will it be before marina fuel dries up for the same reasons?
How fresh can any fuel at marinas be when we already see the numbers
of cruisers drastically declined? (I traveled from Florida to
Shreveport before seeing enough motorhomes to stop counting on
fingers) An even more pressing problem is the farmland not being
planted for the same reasons above.
I hope no one complaining about discussion of national fuel policy
leaves a message requesting where to buy the cheapest fuel . . .
If I sound somewhat out of sorts, I am, my GL filming is severely
curtailed if not cancelled altogether for now. The reason: fuel.
If fuel is not a valid discussion for people who use lots of it,
depend on it, and stand to be one of the first groups cut out of it
by price, politics, or rationing, I don't know what is. No one, from
any class will be immune to the effects, one way or another. How
long will the government operate locks for recreational boating
corridors when the numbers of boats no longer support it?
While we hear from people already on the loop, I've noticed we hear
from very few actually starting it now.
