GL: The High Price of Fuel These Days

The "Pickens" plan is interesting, he's no dummy, that's for sure,  
and his investment in the windmills, if that's the approach taken,  
will yield a "T. Boone" in subsidies, whether it works or not.

I sent a letter to my Senator, Bill Nelson, saying that if the WWII  
generation could take a bullet by the thousands, the least I could do  
was sacrifice my view of the Gulf and perhaps it was time to  
drill . . .  I received a reply (while on the road across the  
country) from him that "drilling was not the answer" and Americans  
"would just have to tough it out."  The rest is history . . . my
