Peggy, ETAL  The chip has the issuing "firm" and the registration  number.
Most vets that I am aware of have the two scanners that will read the  
various firms chips and have the phone numbers.  When called the firm  complies with 
information on however you specified, owner, backup, and probably  primary 
vet.
