As a distributor for JOHNSON CUTLESS (Registered Trademark)Bearings and Products ?you properly remove a shaft with a "Shaft puller"? Any competent yard will have tone.

You remove the prop and the shaft puller is like a tube slid over the shaft. Install porp nuts back on and tighten clamps. 


It clamps on the shaft and there is a slide mechanism that moves back and forth on the outside of the tube with a welded on plate at the end . You slide the handle back and forth and it bangs back on the plate pulling the shaft out.

Any one who put pipe wrenches on my shafts and started twisting and turning would go home immediately??

There is a right tool for every job. Deal with compentent? people and you cannot go wrong.? Jack Leg short cuts, not on my boat.

It would pay for any member to have a few electrical and mechanical books on board to improve there boating knowledge.?
