GL: maybe good news?

We kept MORNING STAR at Uncle Henry's for several winters and our sailboat
before that.  It was always a great place. Then several years ago the
ownership decided to go condo and sell the slips.  The last I heard the going
rate was $5000 per foot,50 foot minimum.  They raised the slip rent to try to
get the folks who used to winter there to buy a slip.  That didn't work.  The
following year they changed their charges to daily transient rates only.  The
only way to get a monthly rate was to sign a one year lease.  We moved to a
different marina.  The last few winters the marina has been virtually empty.
I don't understand their thought process.
