While cruising through Daytona Fla. we were stopped
on the ICW by the local Sheriff's Dept. They came
aboard and checked to make sure the heads didn't flush
overboard. Everything was OK.
I later found out from talking to the "boys" in the
marina that many cruisers plumb one head into the
holding tank (to be used for solid waste) and the
other head overboard (liquid gold waste). The sheriff
deputies made it very clear that they wouldn't be
happy to find any waste being pumped overboard.

Shows to go ya that two heads are better than one, eh!!
And I wonder how many swimmers are asked the same question.
Ever since I was a lifeguard many eons ago, I came to understand that the
'P' in pswimming pool was truly silent.
Finally, I wonder whether they ever checked on whales in the area, or sharks
or manatees or dolphins!!
Ah well, next election I am going to vote for a boater. With all the stuff
they sling , there must be some commonality.
