GL: Y valve lockout

Keith and GL List,

If you are going the Lake Champlain route, you must remove the Y- 
valve completely.  The Vermont and New York "Potty Police" regularly  
boards out of state boats and checks on the plumbing.  If there is a  
Y-valve installed, they issue fines and require you to have it moved  
before proceeding further (the marinas make a lot of money over  
charging to do this work)!  Check out Skipper Bob's book on how to  
remove and reinstall as necessary.  Removing the handle, locking it  
does not comply with their state laws.
