Recently forwarded to me and may have been posted but if not anyone got any
ideas - seems like there should be a solution...maybe also email back direct
to Rowena if anyone has any thoughts?

We're British, resident in UK, and put a deposit down on the ideal
boat to do the loop. Many kind loopers responded to my earlier
request for info about insurance, but unfortunately, no insurance
company (including BoatUS) will give us a quote without us having "a
valid address" in the USA, effectively scuppering our plans and making
it almost certain that we can't do the loop - and we also stand to
lose our deposit on the boat in Fort Myers. We've also tried UK
insurance companies but they don't want to insure USA resistered boats
in the USA. We've had boats for nearly 30 years, so are not
inexperienced. Oh dear.
Are there any Brits currently doing the loop who are also non-USA
residents and who are on a USA-registered boat? How have you secured
insurance?
Anyone out there to save our dream?
Thanks, Rowena
