GL: Sealing inside fuel tanks

First, a link to the Ceram-Kote site for their "99" product that Charles
mentioned: http://www.ceram-kote.com/products/index.htm.

Now, when I had one tank repaired, a guy came out, cut three more inspection
ports in my starboard tank and installed new ports: http://www.seabuilt.com/

He then vacuumed out all the leftover fuel and crud, scraped then solvent
cleaned the tanks, probably with MEK or lacquer thinner, strong stuff...
ventilate and wear protective gear! He then used and air sander/grinder to
bring the metal to shiny clean inside, then coated with an aircraft fuel
tank sealer. He never would tell me exactly what he used, but it was grey
and flexible when cured, and has worked well for the last several years. I
did some research and came up with these suppliers... you can find more on
the web if you like. This CAN be a DIY job, but you really have to be
careful with all those fumes.
