GL: Recommended cruising guides for Canada

I've searched the archives and a few other web sites looking for 
information relative to recommended cruising guides for the Canadian 
cruising areas including St. Lawrence River, Montreal, Ottawa, 1000 
Islands, Georgian Bay,  the various canals, etc.

What current guides would you recommend, and is there a good source of 
paper charts for those areas other than the Canadian Hydrographic 
Offices (I have the Navionics electronic charts for the entire region)?
