Based upon the inability of some list members to accurately read and
attribute email to the proper source, I think it is wise for us to remember
that some of these folks are actually out on the water operating vessels.
And these are folks who are interested in cruising and have joined a list to
exchange information. We should just drop this hopeless topic.

Speaking of knowledgeable, better check that math again. Seems like you are
off by a factor of 10 on feet per SM.
Also, the charts of the great Lakes from the Canadian Hydrography Services
are often in meters. Usefull in the North Channel, etc.
