Used the CMAP Max Wide in a CP1000C and have nothing but good to say about
the combination. I bought mind directly from C-MAP in MA and worked with
Mary Ann and Steve. Both were great and Mary Ann worked a trade in deal
where I exchanged unused chips for the MaxWides at a heafty savings. During
the loop, so far, all of my old electronics have been failing. Here in GTB,
GMENI Electronics, great people, especially Justin, installed a new Furuno
1934C with all of the goodies. Furuno is a great let down. After using the
CP1000C the Furuno is a major let down as a chartplotter. If it wasn't for
the radar it would be discarded! Maybe the new Furuno 3D will be better. I
just couldn't wait for the production line to catch up with there
advertising department. C-Map just told me of chartplotter setup
suggestions on there web site that might help with the VX2. I'll give them
a shot today.
