Chuck,
The best "show" coming up that you should try to make is the rendezvous at Joe
Wheeler Sate Park where you can actually see and talk to many loopers. There
will be as many opinions as belly buttons. You need to see a lot of boats and
then figure out the "right" type/ model/ and specific boat to buy. Also
consideration must be given as to what season you want to start the adventure.
We spent three months of active looking via airlines, rental cars. and motels
($8k) last fall to find a decent boat under $100k. We just about gave up when
ADAGIO hit the market in Mobile and made this delightful trip possible.
We will be putting ADAGIO on the market at or before Joe Wheeler for delivery
after we cross our wake in Mobile sometime in November. It will be "turn key"
with everything you need. Just bring clothes and personal items. It will
probably be the best boat you will find under $100k. (shameless plug)
