Mac,
Yes it is still in operation, but not much activity. Most of the
serious Great Loopers are on the Loop and are in Canada.
Unfortunately the availability of WiFi is sparse in the Northern
Georgian Bay and North Channel of Lake Huron (we chartered a 35 ft
trawler out of Canadian Yacht Charters in Gore Bay for two weeks in
July) only a few places like Little Current which had free WiFi and/
or Verizon WWAN service -- some places did not even have cell phone
service!
This Great Loop list will become active again in the Fall when the
"snowbirds" start heading South for the Winter months. By now you
should have figured out that those seriously on the Loop are members
of AGLCA and use the associations Email subscriber list versus the
<great-loop at lists.samurai.com> list.
