Leaving a boat in Waterford would seem to be a bit unfair to the many
cruisers who rely on the often hard-to-come by dockage for provisioning and
local sightseeing. Unfortunately, local good-will such as Waterford offers,
is often ruined by boaters looking to take advantage of what is meant to be
a local welcome. Stay 2, 3 or even 4 nights (even though they may let you
stay longer), enjoy the town and spend some money at the shops, but then
move on and free the space for someone else to do the same. It is often hard
to find dockage there.
