GL: CQR anchor problem

purchased 45 lbs. CQR for my 32' Island Gypsy but now do not know how to secure the plow head so that it will not tear up the bow pulpit in rough waters [storm].  I did not realize the plow head had so much play in it.  The 32' shank is longer than I expected so may have to extend the pulpit.

In trouble as usual but there must be a solution.........I hope !!!
