I am interested to see if the used trawler market shows some signs of
appreciation in resale values because of the economy of trawlers.

With the rise in fuel prices I expect to be boating more. I get upwards
of 12-16 mpg with my little trawler while my dockmates get 1-2 mpg with
their gasoline stern drives. My boat has turned from "Gee that's a nice
little trawler but oh I could not stand to go that slow" to "When are
you going out, we will buy the fuel".

My dock is all boats 25'-30' and all gasoline stern drives except for
mine. I have become darn right popular and often had company on my boat
last summer. Last summer I put 165 hours on the boat (72gallon of
diesel) and this summer I expect over 200.
