GL: Fuel costs affecting boating?

We started on the Great Loop this Jan, and had to cancel, but will take off
again in Oct 2009. In the interim, we will certainly do some frequent
boating, but the length of the trips will be much shorter. With 800 gallon
tanks, a fillup is now a real consideration. What used to be $1200 is now
almost $3500 a crack. This is not an inconsequential amount of money for
us. So, yes, we have changed our cruising plans relative to past years due
to the price of fuel.
