GL: Fuel costs affecting boating?

When one industry profits at the expense of all other industries in our
country, that situation cries out for regulation. Everything reaches our
hearth and table via truck and aircraft while industry receives and ships
bulk materials via rail. By-products of oil to include "socks" flood the
marketplace. The analysis of societal problems often begins with the
question - who benefits? In this case, a disproportionally small number of
investors benefits.
So yes, fuel costs will change the way in which I intend to use my boat, but
it will also affect the proportion of money going to food on the table and
circumscribe where I go in my car. Heck, it will even affect the price of my
dock lines. Further, it will affect *where* I intend to put my sock.
And to think, I used to enjoy Kukla, Fran, and Ollie.

| I do not appreciate the comment that the oil industry is "stealing" the
joy
| of cruising. I'm getting tired of the excessive commentary on this & the T
& T list. I'm considering dropping out after 8+ years. Put a sock in it.
