The KR-1 is being replaced by the KR-2... go figure. The KR-2 is made by
Cradlepoint which markets their own unit, the MBR1000. I have the MBR1000
and echo Bob Kunath's comments on this type of equipment. If you are in the
market, consider the MBR1000 since it has an Expresscard port, in addition
to the USB port. Just some additional flexability.
My Sprint USB720, now available in an updated version, performed just fine
on the Loop from the Keys, up and around to KY. I am not addicted to or
dependent on it, so gaps in connectivity may have gone un-noticed. Ya gotta
expect, and appreciate the spotty coverage in the Georgian Bay and North
Channel.
