GL: Florida Destinations

We are on the loop and as the saying goes, all plans are written in sand.
We are making arrangements on the fly.  Surprisingly, this has worked out
very well.  We are staying at Calvert Marina in Solomon's Island for the
month of October and then heading south.

 

We plan to stay in Florida (hopefully in one place) during January,
February, and March.  We have not chosen a destination and wonder if there
is a trick to finding monthly, inexpensive docking or moorings.

 

The current plan is to call the places on Skipper Bob's list, check out the
Active Captain Website, and Google.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?  Cost rather than destination is a key
factor - although we would like to be far enough south so the weather is not
too cold.  Of course we are from the suburbs of Chicago so "cold" is a
relative term!!
