GL: prescriptions & refills

All of the suggestions for receiving precription medications have been
great....everyone has a different situation with meds and insurance so
you have to find your own solution. Ask your pharmacist for help...they
have probably had other patients in this situation. A reminder also
that some generic meds are now available for a cost lower than some
insurance copays - the filling limitations apply to insurance rules
(except for controlled substances) most frequently so if you can pay you
can probably get what you need before you go. One additional comment is
to find a place on the boat to store the drugs that has the least amount
of temperature extremes and humidity. If you are storing large amounts
of meds ask your pharmacist for some of the little freshness packets (we
all throw hundreds away daily) especially if you are keeping your meds
in a regular prescription container. Another alternative is to put the
meds in their containers in a plastic air tight tub etc.
Of course the best alternative is to start learning about and getting on
board with some preventative neutraceuticals so you won't have to worry
about all this!
/*Ahhh...how wonderful it would be if we all took as good care of our
bodies as we do your boats!!
