From Ken's original post: "This will probably be a long process so bear
with me while I get through this."
I think what Ken is proposing to do (have a website or blog) while
traveling the Great Loop is an excellent idea. I believe that keeping
the list updated with info about new/significant developments about his
website or blog will be a plus for the list and I look forward to it. I
believe that general , high level discussions about where to create
websites and blogs is good for the list.
However, I don't think the significant number of emails that could be
required to get someone up and running with a website is appropriate for
the GL list. I don't believe that "detailed discussions" (from my post)
including, for instance, how to add a picture link or make thumbnails or
any of the myriad number of issues that can come up when building a
website or blog is appropriate for an extended discussion on this
list. I am not faulting Ken for his lack of knowledge, I applaud his
desire to learn and share.
That is why I asked that detailed discussions of building a website or
blog be continued off-list.
