Mr Bolin, i live on the north coast of the St-Laurence River in a small town
name Baie-Comeau.
I am a rookie on navigation but if you need any specific information's, I
can help.
You can start with Canadian Hydrographic Service CHS, they publish a lot of
useful information.

I strongly recommend Sailing Directions.
It is impossible to navigate the St-Laurence without tide table east of
Quebec City.

Learning to use the currents will save you time and fuel.
I like this web site for marinas.

In 2006, Ron Barr have make the small loop via lac Champlain. If he dont
answer here, write to me, I will put you in contact.
And dont forget to put Baie-Comeau on your stop list.
Dont hesitate and ask what you will need.
