Me too. Red/Green color blind which is the most common. And strangely enuff, 
boats use red/green for the port/starboard lights and the waterways use the 
same colors for their markers.

Actually I see all colors if the intensity is strong enuff.  But at night 
the lights on boats aren't, neither are the waterway marker lights.

My choice, never travel at night, unless offshore in non to light traffic. 
If necessary be sure the color-sighted one is at the helm with you.
