GL: man overboard

We don't plan to be out in rough conditions, but sometimes we have been
surprised on Lake Superior and found ourselves in 6+ foot seas. (NOAA is
notorious for not knowing what is going on out on the big lake.) However,
we have two simple rules: (1) when underway, no one goes out on deck if
it is rough. (2) If we do have to deal with a situation on deck in rough
water (like when the dinghy has become dislodged), we STOP, put on the
PFDs, and then go out and deal with the problem. I never "take a whiz"
off the stern while underway. When I have done so, the boat was stopped
first.
