Bought the "red stuff", -50 F propylene glycol at WalMart for
$3.48/gallon. You use this FULL STRENGTH.
They also sell an automotive Prestone propylene glycol (safe for the
environment) gallon for $10 but you dilute it 50% with water. Supposed
to contain metal preservatives, whatever that may be.

I believe what you need is what we simply call "pink stuff."
It is available CHEAPLY at Wal-Mart in the RV department
It is specifically safe for winterizing drinking water tanks
and lines, but you wouldn't want to drink it. Takes a bunch
of flushing to get the bad taste out when Spring comes!
