am I OK to put the mast back up now, as we head south out of Seneca, heading
to Mobile?

Hi Joe, OK to raise the mast now! Just be aware that there about half
dozen lift bridges on the Illinois Waterway that need to be raised for you.
Highway bridges, for example Florence mile 56 and Hardin Lift Bridge mile 22,
are usually in the closed position. Call the bridgetender on channel 13 to
request an opening.
Railroad bridges are usually in the raised position unless a train is coming.
The R/R bridge at Beardstown mile 89 for example sounds a five whistle blast
warning prior to closing the bridge.
