We had our boat soda blasted this spring through our marina by Mid Atlantic
Soda Blasting. The cost was $1800 with moving the boat to put down the mat
and then removing it and then one more time to complete all the painting.  I
did the sealing and painting.  I was very happy with the job.
Enviornmentally it was very clean and it was friendly to the gel coat.  The
blasting and cleanup were done in one day.  I would spend the extra money to
do it this way again.  By the way we have a 1980 M I and it most likely was
the first time it was cleaned to the gelcoat in 27 years.  When we pulled it
this fall I was very proud of how great it still looks.   Bob Christopher
