I wouldn't cruise without line cutters. On my first boat I had them added but don't know the name or manufacturer other than they were made in Canada. They must have worked as there were small nicks in the blade. This cutter was a round disc with a razor sharp edge and NO MOVING PARTS. It had been recommended for this very reason! Simple and did the trick! On cinderella I ordered line cutters that were installed in Holland when the boat was built. It did have spurs of some kind so there were more complicated moving parts. I don't know if it worked or not but we picked up a heave old rusty ski boat cable that it definitely did NOT cut, had to hire a diver for that! My motto is KISS...keep it simple stupid!
